Together with Mr. Lucas Müller, a student of electrical engineering at the Bergische Universität in Wuppertal, we are pleased to present him with a grant as part of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship for the 2022/2023 funding year. The scholarship made possible by REO supports Mr. Müller, who has successfully distinguished himself as a talented and high-achieving student in the master’s program in electrical engineering, on his further path. When awarding the scholarship, however, not only the highest grades were taken into account, but also social commitment, special personal achievements and the social and family situation. This holistic understanding of the concept of achievement in the Deutschlandstipendium opens up educational opportunities for young talents and has been an investment in the future for REO AG for many years. In addition to REO’s own training programs, which include not only traditional training but also offers such as dual studies or support for final theses, REO sees its commitment to the Deutschlandstipendium as a first-class opportunity to make contact with the skilled workers of tomorrow. As REO AG sees this commitment as a socially important task, it is continuing the tradition of awarding scholarships. After the Corona years, this year’s scholarship once again has a special background: the difficult financial conditions under which students throughout Germany are currently suffering and will continue to do so in the near future. It is therefore a good sign that the number of sponsors has increased significantly over the past 10 years. « The number of sponsors has doubled. The number of grants tripled to 180. We are very pleased that we can support our high-achieving and committed students in this way and that the companies and foundations are expressing their attachment to the region and their university in this way, » summarizes Prof. Dr. Andreas Frommer, Vice-Rector for Studies and Teaching at Bergische Universität.
REO AG congratulates Mr. Lucas Müller and wishes him all the best for the future. Hope to see you again!
