Dans les domaines d’application avec une température ambiante élevée ou un manque d’air frais, les composants électriques refroidis par air atteignent rapidement leurs limites de charge. Des dysfonctionnements, des pertes de puissance ou même la défaillance de systèmes entiers en sont la conséquence. Le problème est accentué par les dimensions compactes toujours demandées, qui ne permettent pas une surface suffisante et donc des tailles de refroidissement suffisantes.
Afin de pouvoir utiliser des composants performants dans tous les environnements, même les plus défavorables et les plus exigeants, REO propose une large gamme de produits composée de composants inductifs refroidis par eau et de composants ohmiques refroidis par eau. Le refroidissement par eau permet des composants jusqu’à 70 % plus petits et garantit un refroidissement optimal indépendamment des températures ambiantes, une efficacité élevée ainsi qu’un fonctionnement extrêmement silencieux. En effet, il est possible de renoncer en grande partie à l’utilisation de ventilateurs supplémentaires.
Un effet secondaire positif : la température excessive du boîtier est basse et peut même être inférieure à la température ambiante. Cela protège en cas de contact et les composants proches ne subissent aucune influence de la chaleur résiduelle. Les composants refroidis par eau de REO conviennent donc également aux applications dans l’industrie du bois et du textile ou dans les environnements protégés contre les explosions.
Le refroidissement par eau permet non seulement une énorme puissance de refroidissement et donc un comportement thermique optimal du composant, mais favorise également la performance et assure une durée de vie plus longue des composants. Les coûts d’acquisition plus élevés s’en trouvent ainsi compensés.
