Tester les limites du possible sur le plan technique et les redéfinir sans cesse : avec des voitures de course entièrement électriques, automatisées ou pilotées, la Formula Student Germany offre aux étudiants des conditions de recherche et de compétition idéales. REO AG soutient désormais le DART Racing Team dans sa chasse aux points en lui fournissant des composants.
3 500 participants, 115 équipes, 24 nations : la Formula Student Germany est une série de courses étudiantes avec des voitures de course autonomes ou pilotées, entraînées par des moteurs électriques ou par des entraînements conventionnels. Elle permet aux étudiants d’associer théorie et pratique d’une manière unique. L’une de ces équipes est le DART Racing Team de la TU Darmstadt, qui utilise des composants de REO AG, dont le siège est à Solingen. Le contact avec REO a été établi par les étudiants eux-mêmes : Mon projet est le développement d’un banc d’essai pour la vérification et la validation de composants. Lors de la recherche de résistances de freinage appropriées, nous avons très vite remarqué REO AG, en particulier la série 156. Nous avons été très heureux que REO AG nous ait aidés si rapidement et facilement .» Maximilian Frey, Powertrain – engine test bench, TU Darmstadt Racing Team e.V.
En tant que fabricant de composants inductifs, résistifs et électroniques, REO AG propose un large portefeuille de produits auquel les étudiants peuvent désormais faire appel. La demande des étudiants s’inscrit également dans la philosophie de l’entreprise familiale : « Avec le DART Racing Team, nous avons rencontré de jeunes gens motivés qui partagent notre passion et notre enthousiasme pour la technique », constate Matthias Erdmann, responsable du marketing, et poursuit : »nous avons donc été immédiatement enthousiasmés par l’idée. Les étudiants conçoivent, construisent et fabriquent leurs voitures de course sous leur propre responsabilité. Nous fournissons les composants appropriés et apportons ainsi une contribution fondamentale pour que les futurs ingénieurs puissent acquérir une expérience importante dans les situations de course très exigeantes pour l’homme et la technique. »
Ce faisant, les étudiants se posent déjà les questions importantes de demain : quel est l’avenir de l’automobile ? Les moteurs à combustion plus efficaces ou les entraînements entièrement électriques sont-ils judicieux ? Comment réussir une conduite autonome plus sûre ? Les étudiants ne sont pas les seuls à se poser ces questions. REO AG étudie et développe également des concepts de mobilité de demain. Qu’elle soit alimentée par batterie ou par hydrogène, l’avenir appartient au moteur électrique. L’utilisation des composants REO en course fournit des connaissances importantes qui sont directement intégrées dans le développement des produits.
Parallèlement, la Formula Student Germany est considérée comme un point de rencontre important pour les futurs ingénieurs. Une occasion idéale de découvrir REO AG en tant qu’employeur. Du stage aux mémoires de fin d’études en passant par l’entrée en fonction après des études réussies, les portes de REO AG sont toujours ouvertes aux têtes bien faites.
